“ The best way to follow Addison’s walk is to extend it from the High Street by entering the college. From that point onwards the walk is an extraordinary kinetic and multi-sensory experience of light, texture, colour, sound, touch, temperature changes, smell, and movement. A stimulating contrast comes from the rich variety of buildings and the natural setting. The walk is a delight in all seasons of the year, but it excels in the spring when daffodils, scillas and crocuses are in bloom… I have tried to celebrate this in a pair of paintings.”
